Portfolio – Documentary Storytelling

A powerful documentary begins with character and truth.

It finds real people at the center of complex subjects and reveals larger stories through their lived experience. Over the years, Moonlight has produced documentaries that explore issues shaping communities and public life—from the long-term effects of desegregation, to the loss of historic neighborhoods, to the risks and realities of the digital world.  Each project is grounded in the same approach: careful storytelling, deep research, and a commitment to presenting difficult topics with clarity and respect.

Cuban Missile Crisis

Moonlight produced a fully scripted, narrator-driven USSTRATCOM documentary on the Cuban Missile Crisis, weaving archival footage into a structured narrative that explores the tension, decision-making, and global consequences of the Cold War crisis.

Voices of Cross Creek: Robert Rowan

Set within Fayetteville’s historic Cross Creek Cemetery, this piece explores the life and legacy of Revolutionary War patriot Robert Rowan through historic imagery, narration, and layered sound design.
